Day 20 International Day

August 30, 2019. Today is the day that all participants are waiting for, International Day. This International Day is a ferewell party as well as art performances from various participating countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. However, before attending the event I first attended the Philipino Month event, which was organized by the Laboratory School of MMSU. The event was a form of appreciation for the Filipino language, there were several performances such as singing, dancing, and others.
At exactly 10:00 AM I returned to the dormitory to prepare everything I needed to perform on International Day. Me and my friends from Indonesia want to show the best for our country. Finally at 02.00 PM the international day event began. The first performance of the MMSU choir sang the national anthem of the Philippines namely Lupang Hinirang, Mars MMSU, Mars Asean Games and Hymn MMSU . After that performance from Vietnam, we first aired the Vietnamese national anthem, Tien Quan Ca, after that, then presented the culture of Vietnam and sang songs from Vietnam.
The next country whose presentation was Thailand, as before Thailand also echoed Thailand's national anthem Phleng Chat Thai, then performed the Ram Bai Sri Dance and lastly was an appearance from Indonesia, which of course at first aired the national anthem of Indonesia Raya and incidentally I became a conductor. Initially I was excited because this was the first time I had become a conductor in front of another country, but my sense of nervous was less than proud I was finally able to listen to the song Indonesia Raya in another country.

After singing the national anthem, it's time to sing the song Tanah Airku and finally Rose and I performed the Indonesian Dance for Menari which we had prepared before leaving for the Philippines. Each representative from Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam gave a few speeches for MMSU. The next program was the presentation of certificates from MMSU to all participants and continued with performances from Filipino students. To my amazement, there was one Filipino student who performed the Plate Dance from Minangkabau, West Sumatra, Indonesia. Then there is also dance from  the Philippines.

There is something interesting that when showing one of the games from Philippines using bamboo, namely by means of the two bamboo being knocked to the ground and then sticking one another and the player's feet enter the bamboo area when the bamboo is open. The game was similar to the game of bamboo geprek In Indonesia, the only difference there is the amount of bamboo alone. Before entering the closing session, there was a presentation from one of Sea Teacher Batch 7 who happened to exchange students in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia.
At the end of the event there were 4 games from the committee involving Sea Teacher and Sea Tvet, if you can win the game you will be given a prize. I am very happy to be able to take part in this activity, besides being able to showcase Indonesian culture, I can also see cultures from various countries. On this day too, there were 2 participants from Vietnam who returned to their countries first, so this was a farewell event for all of us too. That's all for my story today, wait for my story the next day because it will be more exciting and memorable. Xoxo
