Day 17 - Day 18 Cooking with All Participants

August 27 and August 28, 2019 . This morning it rained heavily and the school was suspended for 2 days, due to the Thypoon so as to keep students safe at home. Because the school was canceled, I finally decided to continue making lesson plans and preparing other teaching materials . After the lesson plan was completed, Rose and I continued to practice dancing again.
On August 28, 2019, there will be a joint cooking session between Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. So, during the day I, Rose, Hasmin and Diane went to the Public Market to buy some food for cooking later tonight. Incidentally the menu we will make from Indonesia is Gado-Gado and Klepon. After getting all the ingredients, we finally go back to the dormitory to process some of the ingredients that can be done first, such as boiling eggs, cutting vegetables, and so on.
In the afternoon and all friends are complete, we start cooking together. Everyone in the kitchen is very busy preparing their food, as well as those of us from Indonesia. We divided the tasks, some made klepon and some made hodgepodge. It turned out that we were the last to finish, because there were so many dishes we made. Cuisine from the Philippines is Chicken Adobo which comes from chicken, then from Thailand there is Pud Thai which is similar to Ketoprak and from Vietnam is Bo Xao Rau Muong which is a beef dish. I tasted all the food that was served and it tasted good. This is the first time I've tasted food served by Filipinos, Thais and Vietnamese. This event was held to exchange culture (traditional food) from several countries. That's all for my story today, wait for my story the next day because it will be more exciting and memorable. Xoxo
